It has always been my habit to go to work early in the morning so that I can get home earlier in the evening. I would rather go in 2 hours early rather than have to work late. This became especially true after you guys came along.
I have never been the type to be pre-occupied with climbing the corporate ladder. Or taking my work home with me. My thought is that when I get home, I’m there to be with you guys. Getting home by 5:00pm allows us plenty of time to cultivate family – dinner time, after dinner chores, play time, bed time routines, etc. I have come to realize that those are critical components to building a close family.
Having said all that, I just wanted to make it clear that my goal for each and every day is to come home. That’s what I look forward to most during my days. My whole day is centered around this idea of going back home.
Cuz that’s where all my favorite people live. :)
